However the key is to challenge your assumptions about what would be the best solution. It is more an attitude than an activity.

Some quick pencil sketches is what I did for the most recent UI design. I forced myself to find three very diverse solutions. The funny thing is that the final solution was different from my initial three sketches.</description>

		<description>This was a great read and definately an a-ha moment for me. Great timing too since I&#039;m starting a new project this week. The metaphor of digging holes in different places is simple and easy to understand.

I guess that one would have to really keep themselves in check so they don&#039;t waste time drilling too many holes because the distance from the surface to the &quot;sufficient solution&quot; might be greater than one initial (however inefficient) path down. Unless I&#039;m mising something.
